Here in Florida, there are so many barn venues to choose from that fit many styles and budgets. In this blog, I’ll give you a list of my favorites, all located in or around the Destin area.

Do you want a genuine farm experience, or something more modern and refined? Many barn weddings in Florida offer a nice mix of the two, but there are differences between one barn and the next.

If you have guests with mobility issues, accessibility is really important to think about. Yeah, it might be cool to trek through a field for your ceremony, but will your guests be able to navigate that safely?
It’s also to think about visibility in terms of your vendor team. Is there plenty of space for your videographer and photographer teams to do their jobs well? Good lighting and space are necessary for the best photos and video quality.
Ceremony vs. Reception
Do you want to be in a barn for your entire event? Or is the barn more of an aesthetic you’re looking for and not the ideal venue? Not all barn venues can fit large groups of guests for sit-down dinner & dancing, so keep in mind your guest count when looking for a barn for your wedding venue.

But that’s only because Destin and the surrounding areas in the Florida Panhandle offer so many stunning spaces to get married. The Barn at Water Oaks Farm

Live Oak Plantation used to be a working lumber plantation before it was subdivided and purchased by its current owners. The Oaks on this property are hundreds of years old and make the perfect backdrop for your ceremony. Just 20 minutes from downtown Pensacola, this is a great choice for weddings with a large number of guests. There’s a lakeside terrace for your reception, and you can charter a private helicopter or historic car for entrances, exits, and pictures!
