Coldwater Gardens is a private nature retreat and event venue in Northwest Florida. This beautiful eco-resort is situated on 350 acres of pine forest and cypress swamps just north of Milton. You and your guests can relax and relish in the natural habitats along the Coldwater Creek Basin. The venue features a beautiful locally designed terrace that overlooks a hillside that slopes down towards the basin.

Event Spaces

There are two spaces at Coldwater Gardens where you can have your wedding. The first space is The Terrace (their main building) which is the perfect place to put a wedding arbor that overlooks the lawn. During the warmer months (May to October), The Terrace is elegantly framed by blooming native flowers. The evergreen trees provide a continuous lush green setting even in the cooler months of December to February.

You can also have your wedding in the Garden Ceremony space for an enchanting forest fairytale-like wedding. This space sits between a row garden and a wall of jasmine flowers, and the wedding arbor stands under a weeping willow tree. The garden also has hanging cafe lights, a wisteria tunnel, and a path that goes through crepe myrtle trees for an even more romantic ambiance.

Booking and Amenities

Couples can book the venue for a weekday, holiday, or entire weekend wedding. Weddings that are held on Saturday must be reserved for the whole weekend. This allows couples to set up a rehearsal dinner on Friday, have the main building until Saturday midnight, and have enough time for clean-up on Sunday.

A booking includes six glamping tents, four cottages, one cabana, one tiny house, one treehouse, and primitive camping. A booking also consists of the following amenities: 100 indoor chairs, 8 bar stools, 22 outdoor seats, rustic oak tables, indoor tables, outdoor tables, an indoor fireplace, two outdoor fireplaces, cafe lights, and lawn benches. Additional chairs and tables may be necessary.

Facilities and Services

All common spaces at this venue are accessible and ADA-compliant. They also have complimentary self-parking on-site, including wheelchair-accessible parking. During events, their staff can help coordinate parking for your guests. The venue is suitable for intimate weddings as they only allow up to 100 guests to attend your wedding.

They do not offer in-house catering, and catering must be sourced from an external caterer from their preferred vendor list. They have a catering prep kitchen that can be used to stage, plate, and serve food for the event. The catering kitchen cannot be used to prepare or cook food, and all food must be precooked off-site or in a mobile food production facility such as a food truck. Caterers are also expected to provide dinnerware, flatware, and glassware.
