No other southern state has a variety of wedding venues quite like Georgia. From sprawling nature to downtown, luxury, industrial ballrooms to immaculate barns, the wedding venues in Georgia fit every style and budget. 

Georgia has incredible, warm weather most of the year. There are also a variety of activities to do while you’re visiting, including hiking, shopping, and nightlife. 

Many popular movies and TV shows, including Stranger Things, The Vampire Diaries, and multiple Marvel movies have been filmed in Georgia. You can also explore the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere and the largest and longest canopy tour in the US here. 

There are beautiful and unique wedding venues all over the state, but this blog will focus on 6 popular areas for wedding venues in Georgia: Madison, Marietta, Savannah, Newnan, Columbus, and Atlanta.

Madison, Georgia wedding venues

Madison, Georgia is located an hour outside of Atlanta with many historic Antebellum homes that have been beautifully restored. 

Empire Mills

Empire Mills is a historically preserved and restored cotton seed oil mill with two indoor spaces and two courtyards. This modern industrial property has 17,000 square feet of available space, as well as an in-house catering company to handle food and beverages. 

The Sixty Two

The Sixty Two is a lakeside barn with a classic tin roof that can host up to 350 guests. Its large garage doors and custom built bar create a stunning light and neutral venue that can be used in any type of weather. 

The Variety Works

The Variety Works is an industrial manufacturing facility originally built in the late 1800s. It has a large ballroom space with a mezzanine overlooking the dance floor, and capacity for up to 250 guests.  

Marietta, Georgia wedding venues

Marietta, Georgia has many museums including multiple history museums, an art museum, and the Gone With The Wind Museum. There’s also a civil war battlefield site close by. 

Stanley House Mansion

Stanley House Mansion is a bright and intimate venue that offers all-inclusive packages with a BYO beverage option, as well as accommodations at their bed and breakfast on property. They have an outdoor gazebo for ceremonies and can accommodate 120 guests. 

Brick and Ivey

Newnan, Georgia wedding venues

Newnan, Georgia is well known for its Caldwell Tanks Building, where The Hunger Games: Mockingjay was filmed. There are also a variety of activities to do here including visiting parks and shopping.
